Repair of flue gas outlets (RGAs)
Since the introduction of the Gas Boiler Act in 2023, stricter requirements have been in place for flue gas exhaust ducts. Ducts older than fifteen (15) years must be replaced or repaired by means of relining to meet safety and environmental requirements. Important: this may only be carried out by a certified company. At Reline Specialist we have the required certificate, knowledge and experience to renovate your flue gas outlets safely and sustainably, with minimal inconvenience to residents.
If it is possible to replace RGAs, we recommend that every VvE do so. However, this is not always possible because of the construction in a building. Sometimes the channels are built-in and almost unreachable. You see this a lot in older buildings. RGAs have themselves been cast in concrete, making it impossible to replace the drain channels in their entirety.
